I have been in this course for almost a year now and have met pretty Rockin! people. Shout out to Group 2!
I have experienced many memorable moments in life science 151. Seen things that no one will believe (and by that i mean the women that gave birth on some you tube video....epic)
I personally never worked in a lab when I was on school, so when i came to The University of the Western Cape, i had no experience whats o eva! on the rules and the fun you can actually have in the lab. So that made life science 151 even more interesting to me and fun to learn. The Demi's (Love you FEFE) and Tutors are just amazing, because even though i did not have any clue of what was expected of me at first, They were there every step of the way and trust me being with a huge percentage of students who has worked in a lab before or on school can be pretty scary and intimidating.(not that i cared, more fun for me)
When it was the first day of actually gettin life science, i felt like i could die literally. talk bout' feelin like you dont belong! everyone so serious and i just be sitting there making fun the whole time (thats what i do when im nervous so dont think im a rebel or anything)........then i met my Lecturer Maryke, well i thought that was my lecturer until they moved me to a cat lover lecturer called Ms. Short, classy lady i tell yah! When it came to the first day of practical we went out on a Nature Reserve tour (my first nature reserve tour! in a very reserved place!....whoop whoop!!!)
I was so inspired that i actually tasted these plants in the nature reserve and this inspiring thoughts led me to having an obsession with plants like for a week and then after that it was like bleh! what is plants again? (just kidding....well a little)
When i attended the first lecture i was so motivated and hyped up! and then after that i was getting rebellious thoughts of only attending occasionally and Ms Short did not and i repeat DID NOT make it a any easier...wink wink if ya'll niggas know what i m talking about.
I was like the unknown type of student in class, if she could not notice i am there then that is more than ok with me LOL (troll face), until last week she kept saying my name like its the only form of communication among humans (so shocked). i almost forgot to mention the Classwork tests lol!, I hardly ever gave in my classwork i just want to confess now and i am guilty as charged. Ms Short is like one of those lecturers who are funny without even trying....its soooo funny i can pee right now just by thinking abouT it.
I JUST WANA MAKE A STATEMENT N99 IS NOT A COOL VENUE TO HAVE LIFE SCIENCE! . its either too hot in the summer and too cold in winter. That venue is so epic that your natural selection abilities become supernatural. I am not skinny so those chairs in N99 makes my butt hurt and dont tell me to lose weight im not the problem here.#epic fail.
